They just had an amazing notification from a prospect. The proposal I helped them write was accepted, and their call to me was to share their excitement.
Which was fantastic, but, any salesperson will tell you (and we are ALL in sales) that momentum is everything. Positive or negative. Those minutes after a big success are critical, priceless, because you will SOUND successful to the next person you talk to.
Not email, text, or slack... The next human being that you see in a face-to-face, or video conversation, will absorb your confidence from your facial expression, body language, and tone of voice. A close second is a phone call, if you can't get face-to-face with someone, a good alternative is to talk to them. They will still pick up some of your confidence, just from your voice.
After you've used that momentum with other prospects, trust me, you will still have some energy left to thank that invaluable advisor who helped you re-word your proposal to win!
