From today's perspective, every step of my career seems planned. At the time, however, it seemed like a chaotic series of opportunities, losses, and wins!

Last year, I changed careers from running my own business
into a new super-cool new industry with an entirely new network.

What I found shocked me.

People doing the most amazing stuff you can imagine talk about their careers the same way as a ground-down, mid-career professional, manager, or executive!

At the same time, the resume (finally) died as a way to get new jobs. So telling compelling and connected stories became the only way to find your next job!

So, in addition to a few other things, I started coaching and teaching about... not just stories... arcs of stories I call a Career Narrative. Talking about your past in a way that shows people how to help you find your future!

I am a business leader, veteran, entrepreneur, and hiring expert who’s spent 20+ years connecting, interviewing, and hiring thousands of people across Fortune 100 companies, startups, and global teams.

In all that, it became clear that the traditional resume-led hiring process is gone forever—and why networking is the key to standing out. But I've also attended hundreds of networking meetings, in-person and virtual, and spotted the key to connecting with the people who can help you achieve your goals.
